استخارہ کا مطلب ہے اللہ سے خیر طلب کرنا۔ حضرت جابرؓ فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ ہمیں ہر معاملے میں استخارہ اس طرح سکھاتے تھے جیسے قرآن کی سورت۔Istikhara means seeking what is good from Allah. Jabir (RA) said the Prophet ﷺ taught us istikhara in all matters as he taught us a surah of the Quran. Bukhari 1162

مکروہ اوقات کے علاوہ وضو کر کے دو رکعت نفل پڑھیں، پھر یہ دعا پڑھیں۔ "هَذَا الْأَمْرَ" پر اپنے معاملے کا دل میں خیال کریں۔Make wudu and pray two rak'ahs of nafl outside the disliked times, then recite this dua. At "hadhal-amr" keep your matter in mind.

Bukhari 1162

نہیں۔ جس طرف دل کا رجحان ہو اور کام میں آسانی پیدا ہو، اسے اختیار کریں اور اللہ پر بھروسہ رکھیں۔No. Go with what your heart inclines towards and where Allah makes the matter easy, and trust in Him.

دل مطمئن نہ ہو تو چند دن دہرایا جا سکتا ہے۔ بعض علماء سات دن تک کا ذکر کرتے ہیں۔If your heart is not settled, repeat it for a few days. Some scholars mention up to seven days.

مسنون یہ ہے کہ انسان خود استخارہ کرے۔ کسی نیک شخص سے دعا اور مشورہ لینا بھی علماء نے جائز کہا ہے، ساتھ خود بھی ضرور کریں۔The Sunnah is to do it yourself. Scholars also allow asking a righteous person for dua and advice — but do your own istikhara too.

میقات سے پہلے غسل کریں، خوشبو لگائیں (احرام سے پہلے، بدن پر)۔ مرد دو سفید بغیر سلی چادریں پہنیں؛ عورتیں عام باپردہ لباس پہنیں۔ میقات پر عمرہ کی نیت کر کے تلبیہ شروع کریں: «لَبَّيْكَ عُمْرَةً»۔ ہوائی جہاز سے جانے والے میقات آنے سے پہلے احرام باندھ لیں۔Before the Miqat take a bath (ghusl) and apply perfume to the body (before ihram). Men wear two white unstitched sheets; women wear normal modest clothing. At the Miqat make the intention for Umrah and begin the Talbiyah: «Labbayka ‘umrah». Travellers by air should enter ihram before the plane passes the Miqat. Bukhari 1539, 1542

حاضر ہوں اے اللہ، میں حاضر ہوں۔ میں حاضر ہوں، تیرا کوئی شریک نہیں، میں حاضر ہوں۔ بے شک تمام تعریف، نعمت اور بادشاہی تیری ہی ہے، تیرا کوئی شریک نہیں۔Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Truly all praise, favour and sovereignty are Yours. You have no partner. Bukhari 1549 · Muslim 1184

احرام کی حالت میں: بال یا ناخن نہ کاٹیں، خوشبو نہ لگائیں، میاں بیوی کے خاص تعلقات نہیں، شکار نہیں، لڑائی جھگڑا اور گناہ کی باتوں سے بچیں۔ مرد سلا ہوا کپڑا نہ پہنیں اور سر نہ ڈھانپیں؛ عورت نقاب اور دستانے نہ پہنے (چہرے کے سامنے کپڑا لٹکا سکتی ہے)۔While in ihram: do not cut hair or nails, do not use perfume, no marital relations, no hunting, and avoid arguing and sinful speech. Men must not wear stitched clothes or cover the head; women must not wear the niqab or gloves (they may lower a cloth in front of the face). Bukhari 1542, 1838 · Al-Baqarah 2:197

دایاں پاؤں پہلے رکھیں اور مسجد میں داخلے کی دعا پڑھیں۔ کعبہ پر نظر پڑے تو جو چاہیں دعا مانگیں۔Enter with the right foot first and recite the dua for entering the mosque. When you see the Kaaba, make any dua you wish.

اے اللہ! میرے لیے اپنی رحمت کے دروازے کھول دے۔O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy. Muslim 713

طواف حجرِ اسود سے شروع کریں، کعبہ آپ کے بائیں طرف ہو۔ حجرِ اسود کو چومیں یا ہاتھ لگائیں، ہجوم ہو تو دور سے ہاتھ سے اشارہ کر کے «اللهُ أَكْبَرُ» کہیں۔ مرد عمرہ کے طواف میں دایاں کندھا کھلا رکھیں (اضطباع) اور پہلے تین چکروں میں ذرا تیز چلیں (رمل)۔ ہر چکر کی کوئی مخصوص دعا نہیں — قرآن، ذکر اور اپنی زبان میں جو چاہیں مانگیں۔ رکنِ یمانی اور حجرِ اسود کے درمیان یہ دعا پڑھیں:Begin Tawaf at the Black Stone with the Kaaba on your left. Kiss or touch the Black Stone; if crowded, point to it with your hand and say «Allahu Akbar». In the Umrah Tawaf men keep the right shoulder uncovered (idtiba‘) and walk briskly in the first three rounds (raml). There is no fixed dua for each round — recite Quran, dhikr and ask for anything in your own language. Between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone recite: Bukhari 1613, 1604

اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں دنیا میں بھلائی دے اور آخرت میں بھلائی دے اور ہمیں آگ کے عذاب سے بچا۔Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Abu Dawud 1892 · Al-Baqarah 2:201

طواف کے بعد کندھا ڈھانپ لیں، مقامِ ابراہیم کے پیچھے (یا مسجد میں کہیں بھی) دو رکعت پڑھیں — پہلی میں سورۃ الکافرون اور دوسری میں سورۃ الاخلاص۔ پھر زمزم پئیں اور دعا کریں۔After Tawaf cover the shoulder and pray two rak‘ahs behind Maqam Ibrahim (or anywhere in the mosque) — Surah Al-Kafirun in the first and Al-Ikhlas in the second. Then drink Zamzam and make dua. Muslim 1218

اور مقامِ ابراہیم کو نماز کی جگہ بناؤ۔And take the station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer. Al-Baqarah 2:125

صفا پہاڑی پر چڑھیں، آیت «إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَائِرِ اللهِ» پڑھیں اور «أَبْدَأُ بِمَا بَدَأَ اللهُ بِهِ» کہیں۔ کعبہ کی طرف رخ کر کے ہاتھ اٹھا کر نیچے والا ذکر تین بار پڑھیں اور درمیان میں دعا کریں۔ پھر مروہ کی طرف چلیں — سبز روشنیوں کے درمیان مرد تیز چلیں۔ مروہ پر بھی یہی کریں۔ صفا سے مروہ ایک چکر، مروہ سے صفا دوسرا؛ ساتواں چکر مروہ پر ختم ہوگا۔Climb Safa, recite «Inna as-Safa wal-Marwata min sha‘a’irillah» and say «Abda’u bima bada’allahu bih». Face the Kaaba, raise your hands, recite the dhikr below three times and make dua in between. Then walk towards Marwah — men jog between the green lights. Do the same at Marwah. Safa to Marwah is one lap, Marwah back to Safa is the second; the seventh lap ends at Marwah. Muslim 1218 · Al-Baqarah 2:158

اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے (تین بار)۔ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ اکیلا ہے، اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، اسی کی بادشاہی ہے اور اسی کی تعریف، اور وہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔ اللہ اکیلے کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، اس نے اپنا وعدہ پورا کیا، اپنے بندے کی مدد کی اور اکیلے ہی تمام لشکروں کو شکست دی۔Allah is the Greatest (three times). None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, without partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone; He fulfilled His promise, aided His servant and alone defeated the confederates. Muslim 1218

مرد سر منڈوائیں (افضل) یا پورے سر کے بال چھوٹے کروائیں؛ عورتیں بالوں کے سرے سے انگلی کے پور کے برابر کاٹیں۔ اس کے ساتھ احرام کی پابندیاں ختم اور عمرہ مکمل۔ الحمدللہ!Men shave the head (better) or trim the hair of the whole head; women cut a fingertip’s length from the ends of their hair. With this the restrictions of ihram end and the Umrah is complete. Alhamdulillah! Bukhari 1727, 1728

حجِ تمتع کرنے والے مکہ میں اپنی رہائش سے حج کا احرام باندھیں اور نیت کریں «لَبَّيْكَ حَجًّا»، پھر تلبیہ پڑھتے ہوئے منیٰ جائیں۔ وہاں ظہر، عصر، مغرب، عشاء اور 9 تاریخ کی فجر پڑھیں (چار رکعت والی نمازیں دو رکعت، ہر نماز اپنے وقت پر)۔Those performing Hajj Tamattu‘ enter ihram for Hajj from their residence in Makkah with the intention «Labbayka hajjan», then go to Mina reciting the Talbiyah. Pray Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha and Fajr of the 9th there (four-rak‘ah prayers shortened to two, each in its own time). Muslim 1218

سورج نکلنے کے بعد عرفات جائیں۔ ظہر اور عصر ملا کر قصر پڑھیں۔ پھر غروبِ آفتاب تک قبلہ رخ ہو کر خوب دعا، ذکر، توبہ اور تلاوت کریں — یہی حج کی اصل ہے: «الحَجُّ عَرَفَةُ»۔ غروب سے پہلے عرفات سے نہ نکلیں۔After sunrise go to Arafah. Pray Dhuhr and Asr combined and shortened. Then until sunset face the Qibla and make abundant dua, dhikr, repentance and recitation — this is the essence of Hajj: «Hajj is Arafah». Do not leave Arafah before sunset. Muslim 1218 · Tirmidhi 889

سب سے بہترین دعا عرفہ کے دن کی دعا ہے، اور سب سے بہتر جو میں نے اور مجھ سے پہلے نبیوں نے کہا: اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ اکیلا ہے، اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، اسی کی بادشاہی اور اسی کی تعریف ہے اور وہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔The best dua is the dua of the Day of Arafah, and the best that I and the prophets before me said is: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, without partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things. غروب کے بعد مزدلفہ آئیں، مغرب اور عشاء ملا کر پڑھیں (عشاء قصر)۔ رات وہیں گزاریں، فجر جلدی پڑھ کر روشنی ہونے تک ذکر و دعا کریں۔ رمی کے لیے چھوٹی کنکریاں یہاں یا منیٰ سے لے سکتے ہیں۔ کمزور، بیمار اور خواتین آدھی رات کے بعد منیٰ جا سکتے ہیں۔After sunset come to Muzdalifah and pray Maghrib and Isha combined (Isha shortened). Spend the night there; pray Fajr early and remain in dhikr and dua until it is light. Small pebbles for stoning may be picked here or in Mina. The weak, the sick and women may leave for Mina after midnight. Muslim 1218 · Bukhari 1676, 1681 · Al-Baqarah 2:198

جمرۂ عقبہ (بڑا شیطان) کو سات کنکریاں ماریں، ہر کنکری پر «اللهُ أَكْبَرُ» کہیں؛ تلبیہ اب بند۔ پھر قربانی (تمتع اور قِران والوں پر واجب)، پھر حلق یا قصر — اب احرام کی پابندیاں ختم سوائے میاں بیوی کے تعلق کے۔ پھر مکہ جا کر طوافِ زیارت (طوافِ افاضہ) اور حجِ تمتع والے سعی کریں۔ نبی ﷺ سے اس دن ترتیب آگے پیچھے ہونے کا پوچھا گیا تو فرمایا: «کوئی حرج نہیں» (حنفی فقہ میں رمی، قربانی، حلق کی ترتیب واجب ہے — اپنے معلم سے پوچھ لیں)۔Throw seven pebbles at Jamrat al-‘Aqabah (the large pillar), saying «Allahu Akbar» with each; the Talbiyah now stops. Then the sacrifice (obligatory for Tamattu‘ and Qiran), then shave or trim — now the ihram restrictions end except marital relations. Then go to Makkah for Tawaf al-Ifadah, and those doing Tamattu‘ perform Sa‘i. When asked about doing these out of order that day the Prophet ﷺ said: «No harm» (in Hanafi fiqh the order stoning → sacrifice → shaving is required — ask your guide). یہ راتیں منیٰ میں گزاریں۔ ہر دن زوال (ظہر کا وقت) کے بعد تینوں جمرات کو سات سات کنکریاں ماریں: پہلے چھوٹا، پھر درمیانہ، پھر بڑا (عقبہ)۔ پہلے اور دوسرے کے بعد ذرا آگے ہٹ کر قبلہ رخ ہاتھ اٹھا کر لمبی دعا کریں؛ تیسرے کے بعد دعا کے لیے نہ رکیں۔ 12 تاریخ کو غروب سے پہلے منیٰ چھوڑ سکتے ہیں، یا 13 کی رمی کر کے جائیں (یہ افضل ہے)۔Spend these nights in Mina. Each day after midday (Dhuhr time) throw seven pebbles at each of the three pillars: first the small, then the middle, then the large (‘Aqabah). After the first and second, step aside, face the Qibla, raise your hands and make a long dua; do not stop for dua after the third. You may leave Mina before sunset on the 12th, or stay and stone on the 13th (better). Bukhari 1751, 1753 · Al-Baqarah 2:203

مکہ سے روانگی سے پہلے آخری کام طوافِ وداع ہو۔ حیض یا نفاس والی خواتین کو اس کی چھوٹ ہے۔The last act before leaving Makkah should be the Farewell Tawaf. Women in menstruation or post-natal bleeding are excused from it. Bukhari 1755 · Muslim 1327
